YAMASAN: Bringing the Joy of Japanese Culinary Tradition Worldwide
Since 1995, we have been dedicated to delivering meticulously selected traditional Japanese foods, such as miso, soy sauce, and tea, to customers across the globe. Inspired by the demands of our international clientele, we made the decision to expand our reach and share the essence of Japanese culinary traditions beyond the borders of our homeland.
Our passionate team is committed to introducing you to the heart of Japanese traditions, providing you with an authentic Japanese cuisine experience wherever you may be.
Organic Sencha Green Tea: Savor Nature's Finest
Enjoy the best time with our Organic Sencha Green Tea, grown in the rich, natural environment. The optimum temperature for brewing this tea is around 70-90°C. If serving multiple people, pour the tea in small batches into the teacups to ensure uniform taste and quantity for all. Ensure you pour until the last drop.
100% JONA & JAS Organic Certified, our Sencha Green Tea is crafted with the finest leaves, carefully selected and blended by our tea experts. The tea leaves are cultivated in an open-air tea farm, directly exposed to sunlight, resulting in their deep green color and mellow, impactful aroma.
Organic tea accounts for only 4% of Japan's domestic production, making this exceptionally valuable tea a wonderful gift choice.
The Secret to Deliciousness: Masterful Blending and Processing
Our tea experts meticulously assess the quality of tea leaves every year, primarily utilizing the first harvest of the "Yabukita" and "Saemidori" cultivars. Furthermore, the application of far-infrared roasting and pasteurization techniques brings out the original, powerful aroma and full-bodied flavor of the tea leaves.
The steaming process plays a crucial role in determining the color and quality of Sencha. By halting the oxidation and fermentation, steaming preserves the tea leaves' vibrant green hue and removes the "grassy" odor.
Enjoy the Versatility of Sencha: Hot or Cold Brewing
In addition to the traditional hot brewing method, we recommend trying our Sencha Green Tea through the delightful cold brew technique. Cold brewing makes it challenging to extract bitter and astringent compounds, as well as caffeine, resulting in a smooth, mellow taste. Furthermore, this method preserves the tea's vitamin C content.
Simply add 3g (1 heaped tsp) of tea leaves to 100ml of water and brew in the refrigerator for 1-6 hours, depending on the desired batch size. For a refreshing twist, you can create a lemon Sencha by soaking the tea with lemon slices and garnishing it with mint. Other delightful options include pairings with peaches, pears, and blueberries.
